Cerakote V Series Cobalt is a dark matte charcoal with fine metallic.
Cerakote V Series ceramic coatings are the unrivaled leader in high temperature thin film performance coatings, capable of temperatures up to 1800°F. V Series coatings provide unmatched high temperature performance, while providing excellent chemical resistance, durability and aesthetics. The foundation for Cerakote V Series coatings is a unique inorganic ceramic technology that imparts both high temperature performance and excellent physical stability. Due to the inorganic chemistry, V-Series coatings are UV Stable. For more information, see our Technical Data Sheet (TDS).
*NOTE: This product does not require catalyst. This color does require a 100 Mesh Strainer (SE-275).

What do you use to thin Cerakote?
Answer from Admin
We don't recommend adding or removing anything from our coatings in hopes of adjusting the viscosity if it's too thick or thin. Doing so may jeopardize the performance and longevity of what we know our products are capable of. There are ways to mitigate coating from reaching a point of unusable status. The articles below provide information on Cerakote® shelf-life, storage and agitation to assist with longevity.

Do you have any coatings that are heat resistant that could be used to paint a bbq or bbq pit?
Answer from josh benton
Coating the outside of the BBQ would be an awesome way to give your grill some character while also standing up to the high temperatures.
We recommend using the Glacier Series (Air Cure) High Temp or V-Series (Oven Cure) High Temp to coat the outside of your BBQ or fire pit. However we don’t recommend coating the inside of the grill because our products are not FDA approved. For inspiration check out the BBQ’s in our Cerakote Gallery!
