What do you use to thin Cerakote?

We don't recommend adding or removing anything from our coatings in hopes of adjusting the viscosity if it's too thick or thin. Doing so may jeopardize the performance and longevity of what we know our products are capable of. There are ways to mitigate coating from reaching a point of unusable status. Will a 4oz container be enough to paint a 19.5" handrail?

Absolutely! A 4oz tester will be more than enough to adequately coat a handrail of that size.

How should I etch Fiber Glass?
Answer from josh benton
There are two options to etch Carbon Fiber, Fiber Glass, Plastic, Polymers, and soft substrates.
1) Lightly sandblast with #100 grit Aluminum Oxide or Garnet Sand (between 30-40PSI) to give the surface a blasted profile.
2) Use a Red Scotch Brite pad to provide a suitable etch.
