Cerakote Elite Jungle is a flat artichoke green.
We have taken the industry leading performance of Cerakote H Series to the next level and improved hardness, abrasion resistance and lubricity, all in a thinner application. We have accomplished this by developing an advanced resin technology that enables the incorporation of the highest performance engineered ceramics.
Hydrophobic Properties: The contact angle of Cerakote Elite Series was measured using the dependent drop method, in which the contact angle is measured from the solid surface to the liquid drop. A measurement of 90° or higher is considered hydrophobic. Cerakote Elite series coatings measured at a contact angle as high as 107° which is considered hydrophobic.
Note: All Elite products come with a catalyst and require a 325 Mesh Strainer (SE-277). Find product application guides, technical data sheets and SDS information in the Resources section.

What do you use to thin Cerakote?
Answer from Admin
We don't recommend adding or removing anything from our coatings in hopes of adjusting the viscosity if it's too thick or thin. Doing so may jeopardize the performance and longevity of what we know our products are capable of. There are ways to mitigate coating from reaching a point of unusable status. The articles below provide information on Cerakote® shelf-life, storage and agitation to assist with longevity.

What is the max temperature rating for E-Series Cerakote ?
Answer from NIC Industries Inc.
We rate our E-Series (Elite) oven cure coatings to withstand 500°F for sustained periods.

Does the E series require heat to cure? Or is it like the C series and air cures?
Answer from Admin
Elite series is an oven cure product. We recommend curing it at 300°F for one hour.
