Cerakote® Glacier Forge C-8200 is engineered for reliable performance in extreme high-temperature environments. Formulated to withstand continuous temperatures up to 1,800°F, this advanced ceramic coating also resists severe thermal shock - including direct quenching in water without degradation. C-8200 maintains a durable silver-grey metallic finish even under the most demanding conditions. As part of the Cerakote Glacier Series, it is an air-cured, ready-to-spray ceramic coating designed for high-heat applications.
Note: This coating is PFAS-free.
Additional Notes: This product does not require catalyst. A 100 Mesh Strainer (SE-275) is required for proper application.
Application
VOC compliant in all 50 states.

What do you use to thin Cerakote?
Answer from Admin
We don't recommend adding or removing anything from our coatings in hopes of adjusting the viscosity if it's too thick or thin. Doing so may jeopardize the performance and longevity of what we know our products are capable of. There are ways to mitigate coating from reaching a point of unusable status. The articles below provide information on Cerakote® shelf-life, storage and agitation to assist with longevity.

How should I etch Fiber Glass?
Answer from josh benton
There are two options to etch Carbon Fiber, Fiber Glass, Plastic, Polymers, and soft substrates.
1) Lightly sandblast with #100 grit Aluminum Oxide or Garnet Sand (between 30-40PSI) to give the surface a blasted profile.
2) Use a Red Scotch Brite pad to provide a suitable etch.
