Cerakote® Glacier Gold C-7800 delivers exceptional performance where extreme heat resistance and premium aesthetics are required. Engineered to withstand continuous temperatures exceeding 1,200°F, this advanced ceramic coating also endures severe thermal shock - including direct quenching in water without compromising its ultra-smooth, rich gold finish. Part of the Cerakote Glacier Series, C-7800 is an air-cured, ready-to-spray ceramic coating designed for demanding, high-temperature applications.
Note: This coating is PFAS free.
Additional Notes: This product does not require catalyst. A 100 Mesh Strainer (SE-275) is required for proper application.

What do you use to thin Cerakote?

We don't recommend adding or removing anything from our coatings in hopes of adjusting the viscosity if it's too thick or thin. Doing so may jeopardize the performance and longevity of what we know our products are capable of. There are ways to mitigate coating from reaching a point of unusable status. How much time is required for c series to “flash“ before tape or stencils can be used to apply multiple colors?
Answer from Admin
The recommended tack free time for C-series is 45 minutes to one hour, at this time you can then apply your stencils.

How should I etch Fiber Glass?
Answer from josh benton
There are two options to etch Carbon Fiber, Fiber Glass, Plastic, Polymers, and soft substrates.
1) Lightly sandblast with #100 grit Aluminum Oxide or Garnet Sand (between 30-40PSI) to give the surface a blasted profile.
2) Use a Red Scotch Brite pad to provide a suitable etch.
