This incredible Jaguar 4.2 L race engine was built by Gregg Mays (Eagle E Type) for Apparently Racing to contest, the 2022 La Carrara Pan Americana in Mexico. The development of the MKII highlighted problems with heat rejection. Not only is the engine making substantially more power than standard but this legendary seven-day Mexican road race takes place at altitudes up to 9000 feet. Cerakote was used on pistons, valves, combustion, chambers, exhaust manifold and system, inlet manifold, oil cooler and radiator. The results were astonishing (hopefully there is a review from the customer in the review section). The 1963 saloon won the class by 15 minutes over much more modern opposition, and suffered, no overheating problems whatsoever.
