Project Story

A Christmas project for Son-in-law #1. I decided to make 1 handgun and 1 rifle. Gave my Sons-in-law the choice of what they wanted. SIL #1, who is a pilot and enjoys history, chose a 1911, as was the firearm for military pilots. He asked for no specifics other than the gun be solid, reliable and durable. In large, this meant to me, no synthetic parts and something that was tried and true. As it was his first handgun, I used a 1911 Builders 5" Officers kit with Novak white dot adjustable sights.
