Cerakote® has announced the release of High Temp White, a ceramic coating that gives manufacturers, applicators, fabricators and designers a durable white finish for components operating at temperatures up to 1,500°F.
White has long been one of the most difficult colors to preserve in high-temperature environments. Prolonged heat and repeated temperature changes can cause traditional finishes to yellow, turn gray, fade, or otherwise lose their original appearance. These limitations have left many industries with few viable options when a stable white finish is required.
Cerakote saw that gap as an opportunity for innovation.
With dedicated research and development resources and extensive experience in ceramic coating technology, Cerakote set out to create a white finish capable of performing in environments where conventional coatings fall short.
The result is High Temp White (S-140), a coating developed to withstand continuous exposure to elevated temperatures while retaining its appearance through repeated heating and cooling. It also provides UV stability, corrosion resistance, strong adhesion across a variety of substrates, and protection against mechanical and environmental wear. (At elevated temperatures, the coating may temporarily shift to a yellow-green hue before returning to white as it cools.)
High Temp White is PFAS free and VOC compliant in all 50 states.
The introduction of High Temp White opens new design and performance possibilities for automotive, firearms, industrial, and aerospace applications.
Components such as exhaust systems, headers, suppressors, industrial equipment, and aerospace hardware can be exposed to combinations of heat, outdoor weather, corrosive conditions, and repeated thermal cycling. High Temp White addresses these challenges while providing the smooth, consistent appearance expected from Cerakote.
High-temperature coatings have traditionally required compromises in color selection or long-term appearance. High Temp White gives customers another option: a durable ceramic finish that protects the underlying component while remaining clean and white under demanding operating conditions.
Its introduction reflects Cerakote’s continued investment in developing advanced coating solutions around real, unmet needs in the market.
